This is awesome. The power you must have embodied, and probably still do, of kali is amazing. What an initiation to have gone through. I think every woman at some point in their lives would love to paint themselves black, wear skulls and go stark raving mad. As I was reading it, I kept thinking yes, yes, yes. Women need this kind of initiation. Thank you so much for sharing your story ❤️
yes yes yes, the madness is so liberating. Thank you for taking the time to read and sharing your words. May we continue to create these kinds of spaces for one another! #radical xxx
This was so powerful, it was beautiful and awe-inspiring to see your initiation and re-birth. I first heard about Baba Yaga in "Women Who Run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and have been fascinated by her since. It's so powerful to allow the repressed parts of ourselves to flow, to unapologetically rage and dance. I'm also still learning to let those parts breathe and live in me, it was inspiring to see a part of your journey, there was so much I could relate to as a recovering people pleaser. Thank you for sharing <3
Hi dear Maria thank you for taking the time to comment, it always warms my heart to know the stories are weaving their way into other people's hearts. It was quite the journey indeed. Here is to our radical power returning xxx
This! I can’t even find words for what it meant for me to read this at the very moment. Thank you! You’ve truly woven magick with your words, and I’m equally awestruck and inspired. 🌿
Loved reading this.. didn't know who Susun Weed is but I am curious now! Thank you for sharing your journey especially how Shakti came to you.. POWERFUL!
Wow! Yes just wow! I am reading this now as I steep a pot of tea that contains nettles among other things. Creating this blend is where my herbalist journey began. I got very emotional reading this - in a powerful way. The smell of the tea and the imagery of this story took me back to something I’ve been looking for. The writing and story is so potent and strikes remembrance in my bones. I enjoyed this read and appreciate you sharing. 🙏🏾❤️🔥

Yeah...Susan was right! Wow!
My Nettle just winked at me from the kitchen where it's infusing overnight.

The wild Mother does not wound without purpose. The sting is often the place where the old skin splits and the true self begins to breathe.
