My relationship to my body and sex and pleasure, like many of us, has been complex, to say the least. My childhood is filled with blurs and blanks and a very distant relationship to my body. My first orgasm was when I was 21 years old with an older boyfriend who realised I had no idea what I was doing and was man enough to tell me that the “fake” orgasms I was having were no longer necessary and that he would show me how to actually get there. 

It was both humiliating and enlightening.
